I have a 1952 3hp Lightwin in great shape that has been stored in a dry place in Michigan for the past 10-15 years--maybe longer. It was my father's, and I used it as a boy (in the 1960s) as well. When he put it away each year, he ran all the fuel out of it and put a few squirts of oil in the cylinders. I'm sure he did the same after using it the last time. I'm interested in trying to get it going again, but don't want to do anything that might damage it. I'm interested in any suggestions anyone has prior to the usual replacement of gaskets, impeller, etc. Thanks in advance. Dave

I've heard several answers from 24:1 to 32:1, and 40:1. I would start out with 24:1 to be safe. If you seem to be leaving a smoke screen, lighten up to 32:1.
