I have a johnson 90hp v4 vro i was running well.But now everytime i take in the water it wont stay on. it makes a loud buzzing noise. it goes but 50 knots when i take the motor cover off but when i put it back on it runs at about 15 knots. I think it could be a bad earth. Can someone help me.

I just remembered a site for restoring Johnson Javelins... http://www.geocities.com/javelin1957/ I did a quick check but did not see anyone specific who restored the medallions. You might e-mail the webmaster, he may be able to help you. If nothing else, it's a cool site to check out.
