please help. i have a 1960 johnson seahorse 3hp model #jw16 good spark/ignition. good compression. engine starts and runs with choke on. kill choke engine dies. what is the problem?

I have a good working 6 gal pressure tank I don't need any more it does need new O-rings in the fuel fitting whitch can still be bought at OMC dealers or hole new fitting can be bought new for $50-$60. Only thing wrong with it is it has no screen on the pick up so you just have to put a inline filter in the fuel line. I will be up in Maryland for the 4 of July and can box it and ship it or you could pick it up. I will take $75.00 OBO for it plus shiping UPS from 21620 phone me any time after 7:00 pm (407)736-9665 ps I have painted the tank red and it is very clean on the inside stored with oil in it.
